Welcome to one of the newest Temecula wineries in the heart of Temecula Wine Country located on the "De Portola Wine Trail"!

"Getting to Know Temecula Wine Country"

Current Vineyard Plantings Include... Vermentino, Sangiovese, Aglianico, Montepulciano, Primitivo, Malvasia Bianca, Arneis and Pinot Grigio.

Additional Plantings in the Spring of 2010 to include... Nero d'Avola and another Italian red varietal.

We currently control approximately 17 planted family acres.

Picnics:
Enjoy your picnic at one of our 8 picnic tables or bring your own blanket to spread out on. Enjoy your picnic lunch and one of our wines surrounded by olive trees overlooking the vineyards. We have picnic tables and shade provided and always a nice afternoon breeze. For those who forgot their lunch we do have deli items from Boar's Head to choose from and on the weekends we now offer a limited supply of Panino Caprese and Panino Italiano sandwiches from Francesca's Italian Kitchen. You may also call ahead (1 day ahead is always nice) and pre-order any quantity of sandwiches or other food items for your group. Also for purchase is a wide variety of non alcoholic products from Reed's Original Ginger Brews to Virgil's Root Beer to choose from. Call for more details.

Interested in a tour of the winery? Ask Jennifer or Rick or any Cougar staff member if we can and if so we will give you a tour of the winery and all of our equipment (complimentary with your paid wine tasting or for wine club members).

Diego our Yellow Labrador Retriever and Mocha our Black Labrador Retriever , our wine dogs "in training", are waiting to see you!

Our 2006 Malbec and 2006 Sangiovese both medaled with Silvers at the Jerry D. Mead's New World International Wine Competition March 8-9th 2009.

Our 2006 Chardonnay and 2004 Estate Sangiovese both medaled with a Silver and a Bronze respectively at the Long Beach Grand Cru Competition July 22nd.

Our 2006 Muscat Canelli and 2005 Riesling both earned bronze medals at the Temecula Valley Wine Society's 3rd Annual Competition July 18th for Riverside County wine. Our 2005 Estate Primitivo and 2004 Estate Sangiovese both medaled with a Silver and a Bronze respectively at the Temecula Valley Wine Society's 1st Annual Competition July 19th for San Diego County wine.

Our 2006 Pink Cougar takes a gold medal at the Orange County Wine Society Commercial Wine Competition June 16th.

Our 2005 Cab Franc takes a silver medal at the Riverside International Wine Competition May 5th.

We got a mention for pouring our wines along with Hart and Wilson Creek Wineries at Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's Grand Opening for their bed and breakfast Chateau La Rue in Fallbrook CA. Cougar also did a private tasting for Tori, Dean and the guests at Chateau La Rue which may very well be included in one of the upcoming episodes of "Tori And Dean Inn Love" airing on the Oxygen Network Tuesdays @ 7:30 PST and 10:30 EST.

We are now located in Temecula, CA in the heart of the Temecula Wine Country about 60 miles northwest of San Diego Ca. Currently we are growing Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Vermentino, Aglianico, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec varietals with a handful of Syrah to produce our Temecula wines.

It's official! As of August 26th, 2004 we became a Wholesale Limited Winery (BWN-CA-15027) and are able to sell our wines. We've started a Wine Club and offer internet as well as phone sales of our wine. As of fall 2006 we have moved our winery from Fallbrook to Temecula and can now be open to the public!

Coming soon our PC based Wine Club Management program. We are currently collecting requirements on what we would like to record and report.
